A Comprehensive Intro to Deathwork…

What is a Death Doula and what do they provide? A Death Doula is a person who journeys beside a dying person and their family during their end-of-life transition. Though it seems new and trendy, this ancient and profound responsibility has been practiced throughout cultures and throughout time. This intro class covers the basics of being a Death Doula (aka End-of-Life Doula or Death Companion), explores the historical and modern importance of this sacred work, prepares students for the different levels of emotional engagement and boundaries necessary in this field, and incorporates real-life experiences and wisdom from those who practice with this work today.
